Rock Music Community Open to Public [24 Nov 2007|07:10pm]
I was invited to this rock music community a while back. At the time, the site was by invite only, but it's now open for anyone to sign up. Here's the site: http://www.allrespect.com/

It's pretty cool and let's you find other people who share your same taste in music. You can also get music news and find others going to the same concert shows. You can even add a little form to your LJ page to compare your visitor's taste in music with your own. I got one on my LJ if you wanna see.

Anyway, I'm rambling... just thought I'd share this with the community! Later.

Go to Concerts? [03 Sep 2007|05:54pm]
[ mood | mischievous ]

Another update for what is becoming one of my frequented sites, www.AllRespect.com. They recently added a new Concerts feature. The idea is for you to find other concert goers who are attending the same concerts and then share videos, mp3s, photos, etc. from that show.

The feature is not really being used, but I think it's a good idea, so I'm helping spread the word here. Anywhere, there are still some more invites left to join the new music community. Here's the link:

Enjoy, folks.

Cool Rock Music Community [28 May 2007|03:56pm]
[ mood | anxious ]

Hey all,
I thought you may be interested in this new site, AllRespect.com.

It's a music community for people to find others with the same taste in music (mostly rock/alternative from what I see). You can also create your Music Compatibility Test to add to your LJ for your visitors to check how similar their taste in music is to yours. Check out mine on my journal.

Anyway, the site is still in beta and by invite only. However, they have a couple promotions going on -- one for LJ users (lucky us, eh?):

You can read a bit more about the site (clearer than what I'm explaining) here:

Here's my page if you get bored:

Hi I just joined.

I found this list through Derrick Jensen. I had just added it to my interests. I just finished reading WALKING ON WATER. I Have to say I was blown away by it. I laughed, I cried, I was transformed. I know that sounds like mere hyperbole, but it is all true.

I read his other book Language Older than Words about a year ago, shortly after I heard him speak at a youth conference at University of Cincinnati.

I so highly recommend WALKING ON WATER. SOrry if it has already been recommended.

I look forward to seeing more on this list.

shark tale [14 Oct 2004|10:17pm]

[ mood | exhausted ]

shark tale is a very interesting movie. somewhat like finding nemo, but i would say a little better. but then i didnt like finding nemo that much anyway. it has continuous laughs throughout the whole film and jokes for ALL ages, and i mean ALL. whether youre 3 or 93, you will find this movie hilarious.

like finding nemo, there is many underlying metaphors throughout the whole movie. if i had to classify sharktale, i would have to say it is a political comedy in some sense due to the topics it touches on using the metaphors.

as well it takes themes and lines as well as ideas from many of the classics. for example godfather.

if i were to give this movie a grade i would definately no doubt give it an A+! it is one of the funniest movies i have seen all year, and i would DEFINATELY reccomend it.

hi... [01 Aug 2004|02:42pm]

[ mood | awake ]

i was able to watch "the virgin suicides" last friday, July 30. It starred Kirsten Dunst, and Josh Hartnett was also in the movie.

the film was actually not shown in cinemas here in the philippines - the university where I'm studying got a copy from abroad so that film major students could watch it (and critique it, or maybe learn "technical" things from it...our class had the chance to view it...)

anybody here who have watched this?
